Welcome to The Neurodevelopmental Clinic Ltd (“we”, “our”, “us”). This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies we use on neurodevelopmental.co.uk, why we use them, and the choices you have.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let the site remember your actions and preferences (e.g. login, font size) for a period of time. We also use comparable technologies such as local storage and script-based trackers; for simplicity we call them all “cookies”.

2. Why we use cookies

• Strictly necessary — core navigation, security and appointment booking.
• Preferences — remember options you choose (e.g. cookie-banner decisions, dark-mode toggle).
• Analytics — understand how visitors use our pages so we can improve content (Google Analytics 4 & Microsoft Clarity).
• Marketing / third-party services — enable secure bookings via Pabau EMR, payments via Stripe, embedded Instagram posts, YouTube/Vimeo videos, and (future) clinical recording via Heidi AI.

Under UK PECR & UK GDPR we set non-essential cookies only after you give explicit consent via our banner.

5. Future tools – Heidi AI clinical recording

Later in 2025 we intend to deploy Heidi AI—a clinical-documentation platform already used across numerous NHS trusts—for recording, transcribing and summarising video-consultation sessions. Recordings will be made only after the patient (or parent/guardian for under-16s) gives explicit consent. Heidi AI complies with UK GDPR, NHS DTAC and DSP Toolkit (details). It may set a short-lived functional cookie to maintain session continuity; it will not place analytics or marketing cookies on the public website.

6. Managing your preferences

6.1 Banner controls

On your first visit a banner lets you:

1. Accept all cookies
2. Reject non-essential cookies
3. Customise settings – toggle each category

6.2 Browser controls

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings:

Blocking all cookies may cause parts of our site (e.g. booking pages) to stop working.

7. Third-party cookies

Our pages embed or link to services we do not control—Pabau EMR, Stripe, Google, Instagram, Vimeo, Microsoft Clarity, Heidi AI. When you interact with these services they may set additional cookies; please refer to their own privacy/cookie policies.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in technology, law or our practices. Updates appear here and take effect immediately. Please review the policy periodically.
